Our programs are run out of a multi-use building located in central Astana. We have treatment rooms, school-preparatory rooms and an office. Since our inception, we have served hundreds of children with autism and their families and actively work with 40 families at any given time. We provide support to children including social adaptation, treatment of physical disabilities, and emotional and educational development. We work closely with parents of these children in ways that help them to be better prepared to help their children. Our treatment approach uses a variety of individual and group therapy methods, based on up to date research and international treatment guidelines. Our physical and occupational therapists also serve children with a wider range of disabilities, including Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.

We are a private, not-for profit center. Families are asked to pay a portion of the actual costs, based on their ability to pay. We rely on generous donations from local sources in Kazakhstan, and on international donors to support our daily operations.

Community Support

Government offices and agencies have been hospitable and cooperative in the work of Green Pastures, often demonstrating Astana’s progressive disposition as a young and innovative capital city. Parents have almost unanimously expressed their love for “GP” and often assist other families by volunteering their own time, building supportive relationships with one another.
